Darwin Hybrids
These tulips are chiefly the result of hybridization between Darwin tulips and Tulipa fosteriana. They are known for their tall, strong stems and brilliantly colored flowers, Not generally used for forcing. Darwin Hybrid tulips make excellent bedding plants and are recognized as some of the best varieties for perennializing. Most perform well in southern states if precooled.
